This blog would not exist without these progenitors:
Some of the resources that have served as political education for me, the blogger:
Games People Play – see also the saying, which is attributed to people like George Will and St. Ronald Reagan, that “[i]f you’re explaining, you’re losing.”
“A Year Later” by Mark Slouka (Harper’s Magazine, September 2002)
This blog would most certainly not exist without the posts and tweets I’ve read on Tumblr, Twitter, and related websites I came to through those platforms. The words and referenced resources of people from people who post on Tumblr and Twitter have informed the fundamental means and methods I use in understanding of the world as it is.
The vast majority of the people that have most inspired, engaged and taught me have been TWoC/transfeminine people of color, queer/trans Black and/or indigenous folk, and/or Black women. Out of concern for their privacy and safety, I will not be directly referencing or linking to them here.
If you’re living your life right, either you’re already following and reading the words of those sorts of people, or you’ll find your way there eventually.
